ART OF MIXING
Amit Raj Kashyap
"It is not so easy to be a minimalist but it is also not that hard either", My quest continues with redefining the stock plugins of Logic pro x in to my music production and Mixing- Mastering. After playing with various headphones, I finally settled with a visual monitoring system as provided in Logic pro x by the name Metering analyzer. I found this amazing monitoring tool, Multimeter "Gonio meter".
Now what it actually does is, it will read the information of your track and provides it in a spatial or blob form. If it is good fat mix the blob will appear fat and big and if there are any short comings you will notice the opposite shape. I managed to give a good shape to mix after couple of re bouncing the track and with some minor corrections. The hunger to get more out of it brought me to this free plugin - INSIGHT by Izotope. My findings amazed me with its unique features of

. 3D and 2D spectrum analyser
. Ray's and wobbles meter
These alien looking shapes will give the right insight of your mix and I just couldn't stop playing it for hours and hours and finally finished reading about this amazing tool.
After such a long time I had a pleasant reading experience with an article on a plugin called INSIGHT by Izotope on a sound on sound e mag. (Please find the link below)
There is so much to experience after you produce the song, the challenge comes to mix it well.
For newbies:
1. Always take a reference track
2. Analyse it well in terms of harmonic range.
3. Be prepared to dump your older mix.
Thank you soundonsound for providing such great information.
